Kalaja Karst Area ranks the highest on the most visited tourist spot in GenSan City.
But you don't necessarily need to be a Nature-Lover for you to be astounded of the beauty that this place can offer. The place itself can be the reason to bring out the nature lover in you.
Kalaja Karst Area is about 15km away from the city proper. And, Kalaja is a word that originated from Maguindanao which means frying pot. Why name an area before a frying pot? It is named that way due to the look of the formation of karsts that started millions of years ago.
Kalaja Karst Area provides countless of waterfalls, worth dipping after a long trek, and caves; where inside is like a mini pool, once again is worth dipping in. At night, there is a campsite that can be found in Kalaja Karst Area also. There is the place where you can stargaze and, obviously, camp overnight.
